Key Metrics to Crush Your Goals

Where are you trending this year? KPI’s, or Key Performance Indicators, are something we talk a lot about here at The Dental A Team. We truly believe that if you don’t have a good pulse on your business performance, you don’t have a good pulse on your future either.

By watching the right KPI’s you can easily see trends within your business and areas that are working really well versus others that may need some improvement. This means that you are 100% in the know on where you’re going – that’s the sweet spot!

Today we want to encourage you to take a look at where your practice is trending so far this year. Are you on track to reach those big goals you set for yourself and your business? Or is there work to do to improve your results?

Here’s what we want you to do TODAY to answer those questions and reach your goals (this is a trend analysis!):

1. Gather the goals you set at the beginning of year:
   • What did you intend on producing and collecting?
   • Did you have a set New Patient or Active Patient Goal you were looking to achieve?
   • What was your intended overhead percentage?
   • Plus any other goals you may have been pushing for.
2. Gather your year to date (current) data pertaining to those goals.
3. Compare the data to your goals:
   • Are you on track to achieve your yearly goals if you changed nothing about how you’re operating right now?
   • Are you off track on any of your goals? If so, what needs to be adjusted in order to reach them?

Now that you have the data and the trends you know what’s behind and in front of you. You are more equipped to ensure goals are reached and you successfully create the business of your dreams!

We recommend performing a KPI trend analysis multiple times throughout the year, possibly even looking at them on a monthly and weekly basis to catch things before it’s “too late”.
