Majority of the time we pre-schedule Hygiene appointments (kudos for pre-scheduling!) with a simple prophy and possibly a periodic exam noted in the services. Totally cool if that’s all this patient will need. But often the patient is also due for x-rays or for perio charting. Not noted. Same with the three or four patients before and after! Next thing you know when you prep your appointments that day or the day prior, you’re stressed because you’ve got a day STACKED with x-rays … ain’t nobody want that!

Simple Steps for Efficiency that Save you Time
Imagine if you’d placed the necessary items in that appointment six months ago when you scheduled it!! You could have seen that there were four other appointments already there with x-rays and perhaps chosen to place this patient on a day with less x-rays! MIND BLOWN, right?!
We tend to rush through seemingly small steps and think “oh, I’ll go back to that”, and rarely ever do we go back… or, we go back and what could have taken less than ten to thirty seconds now takes minutes. Highly inefficient!
This is just one simple example of how you can be more efficient and create an efficient schedule that you can love.
